Good Shepherd Housing Announces 2017-2018 Board of Directors

Good Shepherd Housing, a non-profit affordable housing developer and provider, proudly announces the Board of Directors for the 2017-2018 year, led by Board Chair Alexis Feeney Tallman of Alexandria, Va. Tallman succeeds Richard Alderson, of Alexandria, Va., and will serve a two-year term through June 2019.

“Good Shepherd Housing has long been an established force to reduce homelessness in our community,” said Tallman. “With our new strategic plan in place, this year will see GSH embarking on our ten-year plan to significantly increase our impact by adding 150 affordable housing units to our community.”

Alexis Feeney Tallman is an analytical problem solver, committed to leaving the world a bit better than she found it.  She is currently Director of Strategy and Planning at Anthem, Inc. where she helps shape the company’s plans to deliver on its commitment to transforming healthcare with trusted and caring solutions.  In this role she enables the use of fact-based analysis and insights to drive thoughtful decision making related to Corporate, IT and analytics strategies with a focus on improving both performance and organizational health.

Prior to joining Anthem, Alexis Feeney Tallman was a consultant focused on creating and executing growth strategies for hospital systems and physician groups across the country.  She began her career in the financial services industry, as an analyst at J.P. Morgan, and later Capital One.

A Fairfax County native, Alexis Feeney Tallman is a graduate of the University of Virginia and Duke University.  In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoys distance running and is currently training for the 2017 Marine Corps Marathon and the Anthem Richmond Marathon.
