This week, one of our lucky residents received a donated Dell OptiPlex desktop from the Washington, DC chapter of SCORE.
As a nonprofit dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurship and business development, SCORE DC recognizes the value in connecting working families to ever-greater computer resources. These computer resources will go a long way to enhancing their human capital and skills.
I want to thank Arnie Westphal from SCORE DC for its kind and valuable donation to our resident. We hope to build on our new partnership for even more collaboration in the future.
I also want to thank Karen Latta of the Mount Vernon-based Ventures in Community (VIC), a consortium of local nonprofits and faith communities. Karen played a key role in connecting us to SCORE DC and bridging one of clients to the world of computing.
