William‘s wife lost her job on November 1st, 2013 and received her last paycheck on November 15th. She is now receives unemployment benefits, but it is not enough for them to make ends meet.

Then William’s granddaughter moved in with them after her mother lost her job and therefore her home. Due to the reduction in income, William and his wife are working with a credit counseling agency and their mortgage provider to reduce the monthly payments on the mortgage and other debt. Good Shepherd Housing Emergency Services program stepped in to help as well. We provided assistance with their electric bill and gave them resources for food, budget and job counseling. William and his family are not out of the woods yet, but they are on their way.
